Explicit-Lyric Bill Proposed In N.Y.

New York State Assemblyman Robert D'Andrea has introduced a bill that

would make it illegal for anyone under 18 to buy records with explicit

content. The measure includes specific criteria for such music, including

lyrics that are descriptive of rape, incest or adultery. Also included

in the Republican legislator's bill are provisions requiring retailers

to attach warning stickers more detailed than those currently used for

explicit albums, and to keep lyrics for all such stickered albums on

hand.
