Coolio will be sentenced on a gun-possession charge Friday
(April 9) in a Torrance, Calif., courtroom. The Grammy-winning rapper
(born Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) pleaded no contest March 3 to carrying
a concealed weapon in a vehicle in September. Judge James R. Brandlin
proposed a month ago that Coolio be sentenced to attend an autopsy of a
youth killed by gunfire, serve 10 days in jail and perform 40
hours of community service.
