Chili Peppers Wrapping New LP

The long-awaited new album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is tentatively titled

Californication according to the group's official website. Band spokesperson

Gayle Fine confirmed the website's report and added that the album is nearly completed

and scheduled for a June release. "It's not done yet," Fine said, "but it should be finished

in the next few weeks." Fine said the album's songs all were written by the group, which

last year reunited with former guitarist John Frusciante. The album, the funk-rock

group's first since 1995's One Hot Minute, was produced by American Records

head Rick Rubin (Slayer, Beastie Boys).
