Georgia Sticker Bill On Hold

A proposed bill that would make it illegal to sell albums with parental-warning

stickers to minors in Georgia has been put on hold while the state

House of Representatives is in recess. The bill could still be called

up for a hearing by the Special Judiciary Committee when the legislature

-- which operates in two-year cycles -- returns next January. A

spokesperson for the Recording Industry Association of America predicted

defeat for the measure if it returns. "There are key legislators who I

think we helped educate on a bill that on its face is a feel-good bill

but that has ramifications that don't serve the state or its

music industry," said Joel Flatow.
