Ol' Dirty Bastard's arrest in New York Monday for allegedly possessing
crack cocaine has landed him more trouble in Los Angeles. Judge Richard Berry in Division 32 of Los Angeles Municipal Court issued a bench warrant for the rapper Tuesday morning (March 23) after ODB failed to appear at a hearing involving a charge that he illegally wore a bulletproof vest, a court clerk said. However, the judge agreed to temporarily hold the warrant until Wednesday (March 24) at the request of ODB's attorney, Kevin Barnes. Barnes explained that his client's custody status in New York prevented him from appearing for the hearing, the clerk said. ODB, who remained in custody in New York as of Monday night, when he was arraigned, is now due in court in Los Angeles Wednesday.
