Foxy Brown Has Uptown Gig

Rapper Foxy Brown will take her raunchy act into the tony

environs of New York's Whitney Museum of American Art in a benefit for

the museum Tuesday (March 9). Hip-hop DJ Funkmaster Flex and '70s

disco star Gloria Gaynor ("I Will Survive") also will perform at

the event, to be held on the museum's third floor. The room holds about

600 people, according to organizer Scott Currie. Currie said he chose

the performers because "they're all [my] favorites." Foxy Brown's second

album, Chyna Doll, topped the Billboard 200 albums chart for a

week in February. Tickets are $75 and available only by calling the

Whitney at 212-570-3697.
