ZZ Top Suing Chrysler

Blues-rockers ZZ Top are suing automaker DaimlerChrysler for using their 1974 hit "La Grange" during a 1996 auto show in Detroit without the band's permission. Jay Cooney, a DaimlerChrysler spokesperson, said the company had made an "honest mistake" and called the band's demand for $15 million "unreasonable." The suit is scheduled to be heard next month in Seattle, where the producer who presented the auto show is based.
