Pop and rock veterans Billy Joel, Elton John, James Taylor
and Tony Bennett are scheduled to perform at the 10th annual Rainforest
Foundation benefit at Carnegie Hall in New York April 17, according to Myra Scheer, a
spokesperson for the foundation. Sting, who established the foundation with his
wife, Trudie Styler, in 1988, also is scheduled to perform. The show will be a tribute to
Frank Sinatra. Profits from last year's benefit, which grossed $2.4 million, aided
residents of South American rainforests, Scheer said.
