Former Ramones singer Joey Ramone has donated a song he

intended to use for his solo debut, "Don't Worry 'Bout Me," to longtime

idol Ronnie Spector. Ramone, who co-produced Spector's recent

U.K. EP, said he wrote the song with the former Ronettes singer's voice

in mind. "I had written [the song] for myself," Ramone said, "[but] I

wrote it with her voice in mind. I can do it in the future." Ramone said

the song is intended for a Spector album intended for the spring, which

has already drawn interest from David Bowie and former Sex

Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, both of whom he said want to

write songs for Spector.
