Grand Ole Opry Returns Home

The Grand Ole Opry will return to its original venue, the 103-year-old Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., for three shows Jan. 15-16, according to a spokesperson for the auditorium. The return commemorates the 25th anniversary of the legendary country radio show's relocation from the auditorium to its current home at the Grand Ole Opry House, also in Nashville. The Opry, which spent its first 31 years at the Ryman, helped launch the careers of the late country-pop vocalist Patsy Cline, the late country pioneer Roy Acuff and many other country greats. Performers for the shows have not yet been confirmed.
