Public Enemy Site Pulls Songs

Public Enemy, Jack Logan, No Doubt, Coolio, Rage Against The Machine, Ronnie Spector...

Tracks from political-rap pioneers Public Enemy's forthcoming Bring The Noise 2000 remix album have been removed from their official website (www.public-enemy.com). In a post dated Wednesday, leader Chuck D claims the removal of the MP3-format files was ordered by PolyGram, the parent company of the group's label, Def Jam. Spokespersons for PolyGram and Def Jam refused comment on the matter.
