Seattle rockers Pearl Jam take a swipe at North Carolina and Connecticut police in the liner notes to their recently released live album, Live on Two Legs. The remark, "And a P.S. to the Raleigh, NC and Hartford, CT police departments. Get a life. Leave those kids alone," is an apparent reference to an Aug. 31 show in Raleigh, during which bassist Jeff Ament reportedly witnessed an altercation between police and concert-goers, according to an Associated Press report. An October 1996 show in Hartford, Conn., ended with 30 arrests and three police officers suffering injuries. According to the AP, Raleigh, N.C., police chief Mitch Brown's reaction to the swipe was, "Pearl Jam who?"
