Jewel Sued By Former Manager

Singer/songwriter Jewel and her mother are being sued for $10 million by a former manager who claims she was wrongfully fired, according to Variety. Inga Vainshtein, who represented the now-platinum songstress when she was a homeless coffeehouse performer, filed suit Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court. She alleges that Jewel Kilcher's mother, Lenedra Carroll, was behind the firing. Jewel's Spirit debuted at #3 this week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, after selling 368,000 copies during its opening week of sales.
