Page, Plant On Amnesty Bill

Former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page are the latest to sign on for the Amnesty International Concert for Human Rights Defenders, slated for Dec. 10 at Bercy Stadium in Paris. Page and Plant join a lineup that includes British rockers Radiohead and pop singer/songwriters Peter Gabriel, Alanis Morissette and Tracy Chapman. Page and Plant said they felt honored to be part of the concert, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in a press release: "To be just a small part of a movement designed to help suffering and to right injustices is in itself more than we could have hoped for, but to feel that our art and our music can be used to this end is fulfillment in itself. We look forward to another 50 years of success and advancement for fellow members of Amnesty everywhere."
