Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson made a guest appearance on CBS's "The Late Show" on Friday night theoretically to address his erratic touring behavior -- which includes a Nov. 21 incident in which he and his band vandalized their hotel rooms and dressing rooms in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and an alleged attack two days later on Spin editor Craig Marks. The sarcastic exchange between Manson and host David Letterman failed to shed any light on the rocker's actions. "If you were me and you were in a dressing room, wouldn't you do the same?" offered Manson. The most serious exchange between the rocker and Letterman surrounded the host's questions about what "kids" like about Manson and his music. "Everybody takes it for something different," Manson answered. "I'm trying to bring excitement back to rock 'n' roll ... it's entertainment ... it's art."
