Chances are good that if you're near a radio at noon today, you'll

hear the eulogistic single dedicated to the late Notorious B.I.G., a double

A-side record featuring "I'll Be Missing You" and "We'll Always Love You Big

Poppa."

Approximately 400 radio stations across the country will broadcast

the two songs at 12 p.m. in your time zone, according to an Arista Records

spokesperson; Arista is releasing the single. The songs will be followed by a

brief period of silence for the rapper, also known as Biggie Smalls, who was

gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles earlier this year.

"I'll

Be Missing You" features Smalls' former label president at Bad Boy Records,

Sean "Puffy" Combs, performing a rewrite of the Police single "Every Breath You

Take." The label chief remixed the original music for the song, which includes

a new percussion track as well as the new refrain, "Every single day, every

time I pray, I'll be missing you." In addition to Combs, the track also

features Smalls' widow Faith Evans and Bad Boy artists 112.

The tribute's

other track, "We'll Always Love You Big Poppa," was recorded by the group

L.O.X., who appear on Smalls' posthumously released Life After Death

album, and who will also issue their own LP in June.

As previously

reported in ATN, Combs directed a video for the song in Harlem last month. The

clip features cameo appearances from Evans, 112, Lauryn Hill of the Fugees,

Pepa and Spinderella of Salt-n-Pepa, Jermaine Dupri, Total, Mase, Fat Joe and

Craig Mack.

Smalls' March 9 drive-by murder remains unsolved. The single

honoring him will be available in retail outlets next week.
