Courtney Love To Sell Cobain House

Courtney is also working on the next Hole album.

Courtney Love has apparently made good on her promise to sell the

house she once shared with her husband, Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain. The Hole

singer, who previously tore down the carriage house where Cobain killed himself

in 1994, was reportedly fed up with the constant stream of fans flocking to the

mansion on a pilgrimage to see the Mecca of Grunge and decided to finally

unload the property, since she now spends most of her time in New York and Los

Angeles according to her spokesperson, Pat Kingsley.

A listing in the

Sunday Seattle Times described the five bedroom, four bath 1902 mansion

as having recently been "meticulously restored," according to a Reuters

report. Further description of the home, which sits on a three-quarter-acre

piece of land in an exclusive Seattle neighborhood, includes: fireplaces in the

living and dining rooms, a family room and chef's kitchen with industrial-grade

appliances and a guest/nanny quarters, in addition to a view of the Cascade

mountain range and Lake Washington. Love has reportedly been house-hunting in

the Los Angeles area for a new place to hang her dresses and park her

4-year-old daughter, Frances Bean.
