London Suede Headed For U. S.

They do the glam thing on their latest album.

It's been two years since those swinging, swishing lads in the

London Suede graced these U.S. shores, but the wait is over come May 14.

The tour will also mark the band's first with their new line-up, sans

hot-shit guitarist Bernard Butler, who quit the band before the release of

their last album, dog man star. The group now consists of lead singer

Brett Anderson, bassist Mat Osman, drummer Simon Gilbert, with new guitarist

Richard Oakes (a dead-ringer for Butler) taking over on guitar and Neil Codling

on keyboard and backing vocals.

The American version of the group's new

album, Coming Up (April 8) will come in a limited-edition two-CD package

with all the songs from the album plus an Interactive CD portion with videos,

exclusive in-the-studio footage, interviews, live concert material, and an

Internet browser that gives fans access to an exclusive area on the band's

website.
