Parliament-Funkadelic & Joni Mitchell Make The Cut

Congratulations, George!! Photo by Jay Blakesberg.

While we all take these things with a grain of salt, we're

still proud to inform you that the great George Clinton created

Parliament-Funkadelic thang will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

next year. Also honored will be Joni Mitchell, one of the greatest living

songwriters/singers. On the other hand, it's difficult to fathom how the Bee

Gees made the cut, while the Stooges didn't. And we'll just look the other way

when they induct Crosby, Stills and Nash and the Rascals. For the record, the

other inductees are: the Jackson Five and the Buffalo Springfield. King Records

founder Syd Nathan, a man who many in the record biz, directly or indirectly,

learned their record business skills from (you know, how to pay absolutely the

smallest royalty to an artist while charging all costs to them, that kind of

thing), will be inducted in the non-performer category.
