Real Deal On Ex-Cypress Hill Wizard Mix-Master DJ Muggs

Remixes and stuff from Cypress Hill out soon. Photo by Jay Blakesberg.

We told you months ago that two key members of Cypress

Hill--Sen Dog and DJ Muggs--had departed, and that the version of Cypress Hill

out on the road included just one original member, B-Real. Now we've found out

what Muggs has been up to. He's been working on a solo album, to be called

"Soul Assassins." Already completed are tracks with rapping by RZA/Genius (Wu

Tang Clan), Mobb Deep, KRS One, Cypress Hill (does that mean B-Real or what?)

and MC Eiht. The album is expected out early next year. Meanwhile, a new

Cypress Hill EP titled "Unreleased & revamped" that includes a "Fugees remix"

of "Boom Biddy Bye Bye," a Q-Tip remix of "Illusions" and a T-Ray remix of

"Hits From the Bong," will be released Aug. 13.
