Bob Dole Attacks Music Biz

In his latest pathetic bid for attention, Republican

presidential candidate Bob "Old Man" Dole claims that President Clinton and

people in the entertainment and fashion industries are partially to blame for

an increase in drug use. Reurters reports that during the Republican

party's weekly radio show yesterday, Dole said people "are as bothered as I am

by the fact that since President Clinton took office, the monthly use of

illicit drugs has increased by an average of 79 percent... for students in the

8th to 12th grades." Dole noted that use of drugs including heroin is

"skyrocketing." He said that some people in the entertainment, fashion and

recording industries "insist on glamorizing" drug use.
