Equipment Trouble For Oasis

Damaged amps delay show.

Oasis were forced to cancel their show in Milwaukee

Thursday night (Feb. 29) when something happened to their equipment enroute to

Milwaukee from Chicago. A couple of Oasis' amplifiers were badly damaged during

the drive, but no one discovered the problem until sound check. By then it was

too late to repair or even replace the amps, which are manufactured in Europe.

(After all, it was 5:30 PM on a Thursday evening in snowy Milwaukee.) A

production staff worker at the venue told ATN that the group had to call the UK

and have someone flown out to repair the disabled equipment. Lucky for Oasis

fans, the group had Friday off, and so Oasis was able to reschedule the show

for the ungodly hour of 6:00 PM (Friday, Mar. 1) in order for the band to be

able to perform, then load up and head for Cleveland where they perform

tonight.
