Ever since I got into San Francisco from D.C. Friday, I've been reading
stuff all over the place about the Noise Pop festival. This four-day gig
received tons of hype, and it's hard not to notice the irony between the
attention it's been getting and the festival's main purpose: to unite noise-pop
bands and noise-pop fans in small places. But as Friday night's show at the
Bottom of the Hill proved, the festival is got the job done.
