Red Hot Chili Peppers Rip It Up, Part 2

Last Saturday (Feb. 3) the Red Hot Chili Peppers played an

unannounced gig at the Hollywood Mogul, a small club in Los Angeles. The only

indication that something special was going on was when KROQ announced that

"there's a band playing the Mogul that you should check out." One never knows

how these things get out, but the place was packed with civilians and some of

the more exotic glitterati, like Billy Corgan and his Smashed Pumpkins, and the

glamorous and spectacularly well-groomed Courtney Love, according to one of our

sources. Love was charming to all she met, until she was introduced to A&R man

Guy Oseary, the man responsible for signing Candlebox and Alanis Morissette.

According to one source, Love put her blonde head this close to his and said

"Alanis Morissette sucks." It was that kind of night.
