This time it isn't Courtney who's had the book thrown at
her, but those three hombres from New Orleans, who were employed as security
men at New Orleans' Lakefront Arena's Green Day show on Dec. 6, 1995. You
probably remember that Love made very loud accusations that she and Hole
drummer Patty Schemel were accosted when they attended the concert there.
Apparently she and Schemel were signing autographs when Larry, Moe, and Curly
demanded that they "keep moving." When they refused, the three security men
became physically abusive. According to Love, she was grabbed by the neck and
hair, put in a headlock and adding insult to injury, had her head banged into a
steel pole. And then of course there was all that tawdry stuff about her
"private body parts being fondled and abused, causing bruising and abrasion."
The three perpetrators will stand trial on this battery charge on April 18 in
New Orleans. We assume Ms. Love will be there, but we just got word that she
won't be in Seattle for her "small but meaty" role in Cameron (Singles)
