Bob Dylan Records?

Dylan as record mogul? What a concept. Does that mean that now Dylan himself can sign "the next Dylan."

That's right. Mr. Zimmerman has, according to yesterday's

L. A. Times, got his own record label, a joint venture with Columbia

Records (the label where he has recorded for 36 years). No name for the label

yet, but the first project will be a Jimmie Rodgers tribute album. Steve Earle

has recorded "In the Jailhouse Now," and Dylan will be contributing a Rodgers

song as well.
