Kraftwerk, that seminal techno pop art rock band from the
mid-'70s that laid much of the ground work for most of the electronic and synth
rock bands that followed them for the next two decades, is ending their long
absence from live shows, and are expected to headline the second Tribal
Gathering in Oxfordshire, UK in early May. Kraftwek attempted to come out of
retirement last year for the aborted Lydd Air Festival. Looks like this time
they really mean it. Along with Kraftwerk, the Beastie Boys are also expected
to headline the festival.
