Linda Perry On Bass?

The album that sold over four million copies.

Yep, that was none other than former 4 Non Blondes leader

Linda Perry, who was playing bass with San Francisco's Stone Fox Saturday night

at the Mission District club Killowatt. Perry has been putting the final

touches on a solo album--her first--which will be out later this year. She

disbanded 4 Non Blondes, whose debut album, Bigger, Better, Faster, sold

four and 1/2 million copies, in early '95. Perry has said that for her solo

album she abandoned the Zep-influenced hard rock sound of 4 Non Blondes,

describing her solo work as "more like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the

Moon. Stone Fox is signed to Perry's Rock Star label.
