Grant Lee Buffalo Wrapping Up Album

In the studio mixing follow-up.

Grant Lee Buffalo have spent the last few months--ever

since they got off the road after touring with R.E.M.--in the studio working on

a new album. They're now in the final stages of mixing the album, which will be

released in late Spring. The album was recorded at Cherokee in L. A., and

produced by Grant Lee Buffalo bassist Paul Kimbell (who produced the group's

last effort. When we last checked in with Grant Lee Buffalo, they were all

wearing Beach Boys' style striped shirts, having covered "In My Room" for the

Friends album. The as-yet-untitled Grant Lee Buffalo album will include:

"Homespun," "Arousing Thunder," "Crackdown," "Bethlehem Steel," and "Better For

Us."
