Stones Cancel Tours

In South America and Asia, Stones' fans will be just as well off listening to an old Stones' greatest hits album.

The Rolling Stones, whose limp Stripped is on the

downward spiral (in terms of sales and chart action), have canceled their tour

of South America and Asia. Apparently promoters couldn't line up enough dates

south of the border, and the South America leg was supposed to offset the costs

of doing Asia. Maybe instead of touring and playing all those old songs to

death, Mick and Keith might consider spending some time writing some decent new

material, something they haven't managed in

years.
