Les Claypool's Love Boat

For Les, the knot has been tied.

Now that the deed is done, we can tell you some of the

details. Primus' Les Claypool and the beautiful clothing designer Chaney Smith

tied the knot on December on a rented boat under a starlit sky after a

distressingly dreary rainy day. The boat cruised around San Francisco Bay, with

a rented five piece jazz band, led by San Francisco media personality, Mal

Sharpe, while the boat's captain was pressed into service to deliver the

nuptials. No honeymoon was planned, since the groom was due to perform in front

of a sold-out show at the Oakland Coliseum on New Year's Eve, and has got

another soiree planned on January 9, to celebrate the release of Primus'

enhanced CD plus, which will make it's debut at MacWorld the same day in San

Francisco. Everything seems to be rosy for the happy couple. They just received

the outstanding news that Mrs. Claypool is with child, and are digging on the

absurdity of Primus being nominated for a Grammy in the category of "Best rock

performance" for Wynona's Big Brown Beaver. Does it get any better than

this?
