Guns N' Roses Retool

The word from the Geffen Records camp is that Axl Rose and Slash have finally

made peace and are writing songs together, and jamming in various

configurations. That's Geffen-speak for they're trying out new guitar players

to replace Gilby Clarke, and they either have or haven't chosen a

replacement. Uber publicist Roy Hamm promises a new Guns N' Rose album by the

middle of next year, and insists that the guys will tour to support the new

album. It seems that Axl Rose has gotten over his agoraphobia, and actually

traveled to Yosemite earlier this month with his current amour for some rest

and relaxation. (Relaxation from what? G N'R haven't released an album since

1993's Spaghetti Incident).
