Radiohead Heads To The Top

Come the new year, these boys start writing their next album.

Tricky and John Squire aren't the only one's contributing

art work to the Warchild efforts to focus public attention on the plight of the

children caught up in the horrors of war. Thom Yorke, Radiohead's lead singer,

illustrated a Christmas card that went on sale in the UK to generate funds for

Warchild. Radiohead has been generating a lot of fans since their appearance on

the various radio Christmas concerts, ias well as scads of attention,

considering that their debut album Pablo Honey was just certified

platinum in the U. S. Among their more famous fans are Alanis Morissette who

does "Fake Plastic Trees" in concert, and Chrissie Hynde, who does "Creep."

Noel Gallagher recently told ATN that Radiohead is his favorite new band, and

that "Fake Plastic Trees" makes his hair stand on endno mean

feat for the

Mancunian. Just when you think that you've figured out where Radiohead is

coming form they throw you a curve. They've recently added Carly Simon's

"Nobody Does It Better" in concert. We won't be seeing them for some time on

our shores. After the first of the year they'll be entering the studio to write

songs for their follow-up to The Bends. There are tentative plans for

the band to tour again this Spring as headliners.
