New Edition's Ronnie DeVoe Trial Date Set

New Edition member Ronnie DeVoe pleaded innocent to charges of

alcohol intoxication and disorderly conduct in a Louisville, Kentucky court

Tuesday (February 18).

The Associated Press report that the

28-year-old singer faces a March 31 trial on the charges, which stem from an

incident after a New Edition concert on Monday night (Feb. 17). Louisville

police were summoned to the Hyatt Regency Hotel after being alerted that a man

was drunkenly wandering the halls.

According to police, when they

approached him DeVoe called out two members of his posse who confronted police.

All three were arrested after they allegedly shouted slurs at the officers and

became belligerent. The other two pleaded guilty to lesser charges and were

fined.
