Red Hot Chili Peppers Stalled By Anthony Kiedis' "Mystery" Illness

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been forced to put back the release of

their new album yet again while Anthony Kiedis recovers from a mystery

stomach ailment. The illness has meant that the new Chili Peppers'

album, originally due out last September, now won't be released until

August of this year.

Kiedis' illness also forced the Chili Peppers to pull out of a

scheduled appearance at the inaugural Alternative Nation Festival in

Australia last Easter weekend. Meanwhile bassist Flea is building a

house in New South Wales. He's been in Australia since January and

jammed with Pearl Jam when they played there a couple of months back.

But don't think that our guy is an expatriate; he's originally from

Australia, and his family still lives there. In other Flea news, he

has a guest spot along with former Sex Pistol Steve Jones, on the

album that Johnny Depp and former Butthole Surfer Gibby Haines are

currently recording. If you're interested, the band call themselves P.
