Man Sentenced In Jackson Murder

A Los Angeles businessman, Donald James Bohana, was sentenced Monday (Nov. 23) to 15-years-to-life in state prison for the 1994 murder of Dolores Jackson, ex-wife of former Jackson 5 singer Tito Jackson, according to district-attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons. The judge imposed the sentence after denying defense motions for a new trial or to reduce the second-degree murder conviction to voluntary or involuntary manslaughter. Bohana claimed that Dolores -- who died at 39 in August 1994 -- drowned in their swimming pool, although testimony indicated she could not swim and medical evidence showed she had been strangled. Tito Jackson was present in court with his three sons by Dolores -- T.J., Taj, and Terrell -- who have a group called the Three T.
