Roots Album To Feature Five Covers

Things Fall Apart, the new album from bohemian-rappers the

Roots, will feature five different covers intended to emphasize the

theme of a chaotic world. One cover will feature L.A. police officers

pursuing African-American citizens during the 1965 Watts uprising; another

will feature the image of a child scorched in the bombing of Hiroshima. A

third shows the outstretched hand of a poker player who'd been shot dead;

the fourth photo captures the inside of a church destroyed by an arsonist;

and the final cover displays the face of a starving child. The album is due

in stores in February.
