Neil Young LP, Box Set Planned For '99

Legendary rocker Neil Young is finishing his still-untitled, 29th studio album at

his California home studio. The LP may include a few new songs that Young has

performed during the past year, such as "Distant Camera," "Looking Forward" and

"Buffalo Springfield." Assisting Young on the album are star session-drummer Jim

Keltner, Booker T. and the MG's bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn,

pedal-steel guitarist/producer Ben Keith (Jewel) and

keyboardist/songwriter Spooner Oldham. Young also is working on a multi-CD

box set of archival material from the first few years of his solo career; tentatively expected

in 1999, the set could contain as many as eight discs of rarities.
