Janet, D'Angelo To Appear On Soundtrack

D'Angelo, Me'Shell N'Degeocello and Janet -- formerly known

as Janet Jackson -- are among 16 R&B artists who have contributed new songs

to the soundtrack of "Down In The Delta," the directorial debut of poet and novelist Maya

Angelou. Also appearing on the soundtrack, due in stores Dec. 8, are Eddie,

Gerald and Sean Levert ("Where Would I Be"), Ashford and

Simpson ("Uh Uh Ooh Ooh [Look Out Here It Comes]"), Shawn Stockman

of Boyz II Men ("Just A Little Luv"), Luther Vandross ("I'm Only Human"),

Chaka Khan ("Don't Talk To Strangers") and Stevie Wonder ("If Ever").

The film is set to open Dec. 25.
