Southern California ska-pop act No Doubt are set to move to New York to begin
working with producer Michael Beinhorn (Hole, Marilyn
Manson) on tracks for the follow-up to their chart-topping Tragic Kingdom,
according to a posting on the band's official website by guitarist Tom Dumont.
"We're about to begin another chapter in our quest to realize this next album," Dumont
wrote. "After nine months of writing, we're going to leave the comfort of home behind and
move to New York City until we finish recording. So far there seems to be a definite
lyrical theme to these songs, and once again we've been able to cast aside any pressure
to conform to any of our musical predilections."
