Second LP From Nada Surf Due Oct. 27

The sophomore album from N.Y. pop-trio Nada Surf, The Proximity Effect, will be released Oct. 27. The 13-track album, produced by Fred Maher (Luna, Matthew Sweet), features the single "Why Are You So Mean To Me?" as well as "Hyperspace," "Mother's Day," "Amateur," "80 Windows," "Bacardi," "Bad Best Friend," "The Voices" and "Firecracker." The album is the group's follow-up to High/Low (1996), which featured the hit "Popular."
