Eagles Book Details Band's Wild History

Author Marc Eliot's unauthorized biography of '70s supergroup the Eagles, "To the Limit" (Little, Brown), which hit stores Thursday, details an affair between Don Henley and Fleetwood Mac siren Stevie Nicks, Henley's home-movies of groupies and the band's tendency to destroy hotel rooms. Despite having agreed at the last minute to be interviewed for the book, Henley reportedly wanted changes made, but Eliot wouldn't alter the content. Eliot, who has published biographies of folk-rock icon Bruce Springsteen and folkie Phil Ochs, was quoted in USA Today as saying that Henley is displeased with the book and is not speaking to the author.
