New Prince/Revolution LP Due

The Artist, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Rod Stewart, Insane Clown Posse, Radiohead, Alanis Morissette...

The former Prince is gearing up to release a new album with his old backing-group, the Revolution, according to the official "Love 4 One Another" website of "His Royal Badness." The album, tentatively called Roadhouse Garden, is slated to include new cuts and recently completed songs from the band's mid-1980s tenure. During that time, the Revolution -- including Wendy and Lisa (Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman, guitar and keyboards, respectively), Bobby Z (percussion), Brown Mark (bass) and Matt Fink (keyboards) -- recorded the acknowledged masterpiece Purple Rain (1984), along with other albums with the funky/bluesy/psychedelic songwriter who changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol in 1993 and who now goes by The Artist.
