Courtney Talks Kurt On Stern

Hole leader Courtney Love appeared on the nationally syndicated

"The Howard Stern Radio Show" Monday morning (Sept. 28) and, among other things,

addressed callers' claims that most of Hole's breakthrough Live Through This

album was actually written by her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt

Cobain. One caller asked what she'd do once she "ran out of Kurt's lyrics," to which

the usually irrepressible Love calmly replied, "If you look at his songwriting, as beautiful

as it is, it's rather simple and linear. Mine's more ... wordy." In addition, Stern and Love

calmly touched upon subjects ranging from her surgically enhanced breasts ("They're

B-cups ... sometimes Cs, but definitely not Ds.") to her and Cobain's 6-year-old daughter,

Francis Bean ("Thank God she got Kurt's nose.") to allegations that she killed Cobain:

"He was such a great rock star," Stern said. "Wasn't he?" Love replied. "He was so

beautiful. But they crushed him."
