Judas Priest To Release Live Album

Heavy-metal legends Judas Priest are planning to release a live

double-disc set, Judas Priest '98: Live-Meltdown, on Sept. 29.

Recorded with new singer Ripper Owens on vocals, the live LP

features 24 tracks and was described by guitarist Glenn Tipton in a

press release as "epitomizing the start-to-finish participation that occurs

at a Priest concert, which needs to be seen and heard to be believed." The

release of the live disc will nearly coincide with a U.S. Judas Priest tour

that kicks off Tuesday at Rockin' Rodeo in Bakersfield, Calif.
