Runaways Box Set In Works

A box set featuring material from short-lived riot-grrrl godmothers the Runaways is in the works for 1999. Although it is still undetermined how many discs the set will comprise and what songs will be included, it is sure to feature material from the group's classic 1977 album Queens of Noise, which included such songs as "Born To Be Bad" and "Neon Angels On The Road To Ruin." The pioneering hard-rock/punk group featured leather-clad legend Joan Jett, future heavy-metal queen Lita Ford and lead singer Cherie Curie.
