Classic-rockers the Doobie Brothers and bluegrass banjo veteran Del
McCoury have signed on for this year's Farm Aid benefit concert. Tickets for the Oct.
3 festival at the Chicago-area New World Music Theatre go on sale Saturday (Sept. 12).
The Doobies and McCoury join a bill that already includes Farm Aid founders Willie
Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp, plus jam band
Phish, roots-rocker Steve Earle, No Depressioners Wilco and
soft-rockers Hootie and the Blowfish.
