Ingrid Pedersen, born Victoria Elizabeth Lennon, surfaced this week, claiming to be late
Beatles leader John Lennon's long-lost half-sister, according to an
Associated Press report. Pedersen, who claimed to be the offspring of a union
between Lennon's mother, Julia Lennon, and a soldier, said she was given up for
adoption and chose not to reveal her identity until her adoptive mother died five weeks
ago. Lennon, who was assassinated in 1980, found out he had a half-sister in 1964 and
searched for her for many years.
