Legendary rock/blues guitarist Peter Green, founder of the classic-rock group
Fleetwood Mac, will tour the U.S. later this summer -- his first tour in 28 years --
in support of his just-released album, The Robert Johnson Songbook. Green is
accompanied on the album (which contains performances of tunes written by the late
Delta blues giant Johnson) by his Splinter Group, who will join Green on the upcoming
road trip. The tour will include stops at Tramps in New York City and the Fillmore in San
Francisco. Green last played dates in North America with Fleetwood Mac, whom he left
in 1970 due to mental problems.
