Reggatta Mondatta II: A Reggae Tribute to the Police, the second compilation in a series commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Police, will hit stores on June 30. Through 10 covers exclusive to this record, top reggae acts will highlight the Jamaican rhythms that so heavily influenced the '80s new wave/reggae band. Only one act, British trendsetters Aswad, returns from the first volume, interpreting "So Lonely" from the Police's debut Outlandos d'Amour. London club-scene vets Louchie Lou and Michie One employ diverse styles, from reggae to hip-hop to jungle, on "Don't Stand So Close to Me," while Third World, who migrated to London from Kingston, tone down "De Do Do Do De Da Da Da" with a mellow groove. Meanwhile, Big Mountain showcase their rock-reggae hybrid sound on a reinterpretation of "Man in a Suitcase."
